About Public Education

Sr. DEAR Minister,
I am grateful to BE GIVEN this opportunity.

We have listened HEARD THAT one of the wayS to pass OVERCOME the difficult current situation is/WOULD BE TO change/SHIFT of FROM A productive model based in ON tourism and THE building industry to A more efficient model ONE based in ON research and development. This is directly related with TO investment in education. Could you explain TO us what kind of measures and strategies will you WILL take from your department?

I think you know/ YOU MAY KNOW the expression “lost generation”, that WHICH expressES?/DESCRIBES about teenagers with high qualifications that don't NOT have any professional future in our country. Lots of them have to move to other countries to look for proper jobs (according to MATCHING THEIR qualifications and experience). Don't you agree that it THIS is damaging to our economic and social development in the long term?

I would ALSO like to ask you, what would you tell to young people that have to work hard to pay FOR his THEIR degree course and won't WILL NOT BE ABLE TO study from now on because of the high increase IN course fees? Don't you agree it is so REALLY unfair? From my point of view, lots of people won't WILL NOT be able to study and improve his THEIR future.

Above all, I'm interested and I´d WOULD like to know how will you WILL improve the teacher´s TEACHERS' motivation if you reduce the investment in education, increase teacher´s TEACHERS' working hours and high pupil-teacher TEACHER-STUDENT RATIOS?

Do you sincerely believe this is the best way, or are there other possibilities? For example, assigning part of bank´s THE BANKS' profit (which SINCE THEY have been receiving cash from European Institutions) * and sending to THE Department of Health and Education *.

Sr. Mr. Minister, I hope LOOK FORWARD TO your answer and I recommend THAT you WATCH the last TV program OF "Informe Semanal" (broadcast ON 5th May and WHICH you can NOW see now on TVE1'S website
