Books: Tears of the Giraffe, by A. McCall Smith

Precious Ramotwe has a private detective agency in Botswana. She has to solve the case of a missing child. Ten years ago, an American boy who lived in Botswana disappeared and now his mother is trying to find out what happened to him.

Carolina Espejo (NI1-B) read this book and thought it was "readable". Detective Ramotswe is her favourite character. She is kind, intelligent with a good sense of humour who loves her country. She is proud to have her own business, and she solves her cases with hard work and humour.
